Sixes Lacrosse is specifically designed to reduce the number of players needed to easily form an optimal team, resulting in a fun and exciting lacrosse competition that boosts camaraderie with friends and teammates and enhances athletic development.

Games played in four 8-minute running quarters

Goalies initiate play after goals are scored

Face Offs/Draws occur only at the start of each quarter

Everyone plays both sides of the field (defense/offense); substitutions made on the fly

6 players on the field per team (5 field players, 1 goalie)

Girls: Defensive players are not penalized for entering the shooting lane of an offensive player; offensive players are penalized for taking a shot without regard for other players

Shots that go out of bounds go to the defensive team

There will be no 3-second rule

Cross Checking is illegal

Body Checking is illegal

Defenders cannot form a wall in front of goal.

Only goalies properly equipped can step in goal during play
